Study of Novel Amorphous Core Used for Motor Stator

  • A novel method was introduced to make motor stator core using amorphous alloy ribbon.The amorphous Fe80Si9B11(Metglas2605SA1)alloy was prepared as motor stator core,which was soaked into resin for 1.2 h and hardened in drying oven at 80℃ for 2h after heat treatment at 380℃ for 100min.The saturation magnetic influx density was 1.36T.Iron loss was examined 2.36W/kg when magnetic influx density was 1T and frequency 400Hz.The magnetic permeability keep constant with variety of frequencies and the maximum of magnetic permeability reach 10000(50Hz),which was far better than 4600(50Hz) of silicon steel 35DW310.Amorphous stator was equipped into 5 kW motor which the efficiency of amorphous alloy stator was improved about 4.6% than silicon steel stator and output torque was improved 0.18N·m.Experimental result of amorphous motor back EMF is 142V.The performance of two alloy stators equipped into 5kW was simulated by Infolytica software.The calculated results of efficiency and back EMF were consistent with experimentation.Low iron loss leadingly caused the efficiency of motor increasing that hysteresis loss of amorphous stator was lower 10 times than silicon steel.
