Study on hydrogen storage performance of FeTi1.2+xwt%LaNi5(x=0,1,2,3,4) alloys

  • A small amount of LaNi5 was added to improve the hydrogen storage performance of FeTi1.2. No LaNi5 phase was detected in the alloys by XRD,but the hydrogen storage capabilities of FeTi1.2,especially activation characteristic,are greatly improved and the alloys have higher hydrogen storage capacity.The desorption capacity of FeTi1.2+2wt%LaNi5 is 186.4ml/g at 333K,which is greater than 172.3ml/g for FeTi1.2.
