Fabrication and performances of PZT/epoxy 1-3-2 piezoelectric composite

  • A novel 1-3-2 piezoelectric composite was developed,which was composed of piezoelectric ceramic plate and 1-3 piezoelectric composite in structure.It was fabricated by dicing PZT ceramic along mutually perpendicular directions on the flat surface and then filling epoxy into grooves.The piezoelectric and electromechanical properties of this novel composite ware determined.The results show that the piezoelectric coefficient d33 is 400 pC/N,vibration displacement is 113.5pm,acoustic impedance is 17.6 Mraly,acoustic velocity is 3500 m/s,thickness electromechanical coupling coefficient reaches 0.62.
