Urease-induced homogeneous precipitation of CdS nano-particles at room temperature

  • CdS nano-crystallite with sphalerite structure was synthesized by urease-induced homogeneous precipitation at room temperature. The inhibition from Cd2+ ion on urease was overcome by adding two ligands (EDTA and aminoacetic acid) simultaneously into the solution. The XRD pattern illustrates that the size of CdS is 9nm. TEM image indicates that CdS is mono-spherical. SAED picture proves that CdS is well crystallied.
