Study on MEMS Colon Cancer Cell Capturing Chip

  • Cancer is one of the major diseases threatening human health.It is a thorny problem to isolate cancer cells fast and easily for clinical medical officers and scientific researchers.Combining magnetic bead technology and MEMS technology,Ni micro-magnetic cylinder arranged in an equilateral triangle is designed to capture colon cancer cells using CD326 immune magnetic beads in magnetic field.In this paper,MEMS cell capturing chip was designed,micro-fabricated,and packaged.Colon cancer cells combined with magnetic beads were captured.The capture efficiency is 92% under 0.1ml/h velocity,indicating that the chip has the ability to capture cancer cells.
