Abstract:
New Solid-state Laser Material Nd
3+:Y
0.5Gd
0.5VO
4 crystal was grown by means of Czochralski. X-ray diffraction analysis shows that the structure of the crystal is as same as that of Nd
3+:YVO
4 crystal. Its lattice constants are between those of YVO
4 and GdVO
4 crystals. The segregation coefficient of Nd
3+in the crystal is 0.8, which is measured by the method of ICP spectrum. Its density and thermal conductivity is 5.00g/cm
3 and 12.5W/mK (at 297K) respectively. It indicates that Nd
3+:Y
0.5Gd
0.5VO
4 crystal will be a possible solid-state laser materials to be used in high power LD pump.
