Abstract:
TiO
2 thin films doped with different Ag content were prepared on common glass substrates by sol-gel processing and dip-drawing method. The effect of doped-Ag content on the hydrophilic properties was studied by analyzing XRD, XPS and density of TiO
2 thin films and corresponding powders. The results indicate that the hydrophilicity of TiO
2 film can be improved as the content of doping Ag in the film is less than 0.635%. The contents of hydroxy and bridge oxygen on the surface of TiO
2 film have direct influences on the hydrophilicity.
