Abstract:
A series of phosphor based on SrMg
2(PO
4)2 were synthesized by solid state methods. And the phosphors were characterized by XRD and photoluminescent emission and excitation spectra. As Ca is substituted for Sr partly in SrMg
2(PO
4)
2:Eu
2+,Mn
2+ phosphor, its blue emission and red emission from Eu
2+ and Mn
2+, respectively, were found show a remarkable red and blue shift. On the other hand, as Tb
3+ with a green emission was introduced into the phosphor Sr
0.6Ca
0.4Mg
2(PO
4)2:Eu
2+, Mn
2+, a full color emitting phosphor was obtained. White emitting phosphors were also obtained for the Eu
2+ and Tb
3+ co-doped SrMg
2(PO
4)
2 by adjusting the contents of two activators.
