Abstract:
Co
3O
4 nanowires were facilely synthesized by using mesoporous SBA-15 modified by trimethylchloro silane(TMCS) and aminopropyltriethoxyl silane(APTS) as a template,Co(NO
3)
2·6O
3O as starting material. The modified SBA-15 and the resulting Co
3O
4 were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),Transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and Nitrogen adsorption surface and porosity measurements(BET).The results show that the modified SBA-15 still has ordered mesoscopic architecture. The prepared Co
3O
4 nanowire has face-centered cubic structure. The average diameter of Co
3O
4 nanowire is 4 nm and the length of Co
3O
4 is in the range from 250-600 nm.The obtained Co
3O
4 nanowire was assembled as an anode material for lithium secondary battery, and its electrochemical property was measured. The results show that the initial discharge capacity is about 1107 mAh g-1,and lithium secondary battery exhibits better charge /discharge performance.
