Abstract:
Three basic modes(shear,flow and squeeze) electrorheological fluids damper characteristics were established through Eyring continuous constitutive model,which has a smooth transition from preyield to postyield region.A shear mode damper and the test system were manufactured.Experimental data were used to identify the two optimal rheological parameters of the Eyring Model by an optimizing procedure.The predicted and experimental results of the shear mode damper characteristics agree with each other very well.
