Abstract:
In this paper the absorption change of phthalocyanine compounds with the substitution of the central metallic ions and organic derivatives has been reported. The temperature dependence of absorption spectra of Langmuir Blodgett (L-B) films of phthlocyanine copper (TNPcCu) and phthlocyanine zinc (TNPPcZn) has been presented too. The optical hysteresis and reverse optical absorption change have been found in TNPcCu and TNPPcZn L-B thin films respectively. Their rewritable optical storage characteristics have been reported.
