Abstract:
Environmental nanosensor based on random networks of single-walled carbon nanotubes has been fabricated by a simple self-assembly method, which was further employed to detect the trace Hg
2+ in water.SWCNT were oxidized by mixing nitric acid and sulfuric acid, and the interdigital gold microelectrode was self-assembled with a monolayer of aminopropyltriethoxy silane(APTMS).Because of electrostatic adsorption between APTMS and oxidised SWCNT,SWCNT could securely assembled to the surface of interdigital gold microelectrode.Environmental nanosensor can be characterized by SEM,TEM,FTIR,and the variation of the electrical conductance of the environmental nanosensors corresponding to the presence of Hg
2+ with different concentration was measured by Keithley 4200.In this study, environmental nanosensor has impressive sensitivity to Hg
2+,which exhibited a detection limit of 2 nM for Hg
2+ in water.
