Abstract:
The effect of Ni addition on the electrochemical properties of the eletrode alloys Ti
0.39V
0.29Mn
0.12-Cr
0.2Ni
x(
x=0-0.2) was studied. It was investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscope (EDS), pressure-composition-temperature(PCT) curves, discharge curves, electrochemical impedance spectra (EIS) and linear polarization curves. The results show that the discharge performance of Ti
0.39V
0.29Mn
0.12Cr
0.2 alloy electrode is very poor becauseof low electrochemical activity, which could be greatly improved by Ni addition. With increase of Ni con-tent, the discharge capacity of Ti
0.39V
0.29Mn
0.12Cr
0.2Ni
x (
x=0~0.2) alloy electrodes increase first andthen decrease. When
x=0.1, the maximum discharge capacity of 273mAh/g is achieved.
