Abstract: An underlayer glaze and porous bioactive ceramic coating having bioactivity and resisting penetration of tissue fluid was prepared by a two-step sintering method. The factors influencing bonding strength and microstructure of the coating were analysed. The implanting tests on rabbits show these implants with bioactive ceramic coating have good biocompatility.
