Abstract:
Zinc selenide(ZnSe) nanocrystals were synthesized by bio-template of apoferritin from horse spleen(HsAFr),and the two-dimensional ZnSe-ferritin nanodots were prepared on modified silicon surface by Langmuir-Blodgett method using the adsorption properties of a 1/4 mixed monolayer of eicosylamine(EA) and methyl stearate(SME).The obtained nanodots were characterized by UV-Vis Absorption,Photoluminescence Spectroscopy(PL),Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FTIR) and Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM),Transmission Electron Microscope(TEM) measurements.From the results,it was concluded that the ZnSe nanocrystals were successfully synthesized in the core of ferritin and the monolayer of the ZnSe-ferritin could be obtained on the surface of silicon wafer.Accordingly,the ZnSe-ferritin arrays can be employed as a useful detection material for PL technique in biosensor,drug and diagnostic development.
