Effects of Gd3+ on luminescent properties of(Y,Gd)BO3:Eu3+

  • 摘要: 采用共沉淀法制备了YGB:Eu3+红色荧光粉。XRD研究表明,Gd3+的掺入使其晶胞参数增加,并引起一定程度的晶格畸变。YGB:Eu3+中Eu3+的VUV激发发射主要借助于基质吸收,而CTS亦起一定作用。YGB:Eu3+的基质吸收带与CTS均有一定的红移,强度有一定变化。在UV区存在Gd3+→Eu3+的能量传递。由于Eu3+5s5p轨道对晶场的屏蔽作用,Gd3+浓度基本不影响发射峰的位置。Gd3+浓度的增加,色纯度有一定的改善。Gd3+的掺入影响了晶体对称性并使晶体中A格位数目增加是主要原因。适度的晶格畸变有利于基质对能量的吸收,使Eu3+辐射效率达到最大,适宜的Gd3+的浓度约为0.3mol。

     

    Abstract: (Y,Gd)BO3:Eu3+(YGB:Eu3+) red phosphor was synthesized by the coprecipita-tion method.The XRD result shows that crystal parameters of YGB:Eu3+ increase and the crystal lattice distortion occurs to some extent while the concentration of Gd3+ increasing.The luminescent efficiency of YGB:Eu3+ under VUV is relative to the matrix absorption and CTS of Eu3+-O2-,and the former is the major factor.The red-shift of absorption bands of the matrix and CTS exists with addition of Gd3+ in YGB:Eu3+.Gd3+→Eu3+ energy transition exists under UV radiation.The concentration of Gd3+ is of no importance to the position of emission peaks of YGB:Eu3+ due to the shield of Eu3+ 5s5p orbits.The color purity of YGB:Eu3+ improves with the increase of concentration of Gd3+,because of the increase of the number of Eu3+ which occupy the symmetry centers in the crystal cell resulting from the change of crystal field.Suitable crystal distortion is helpful to the luminescent efficiency of YGB:Eu3+ under VUV,and the optimum concentration of Gd3+ is 0.3 mol.
