Abstract: Application of MEMS in drug delivery system, particularly with emphasis attached to three kinds of drug delivery chips, i.e., controlled-release chips, water-powered micro-drug delivery system, and implant smart chip based on artificial muscle is reviewed. The structure, micro-fabrication process and application of these chips are also introduced in detail.
