Abstract:
A new lead-free piezoelectric ceramics of(1-x)(Bi
1/2Na
1/2)TiO
3-xBi(Mg
2/3Nb
1/3)O
3,were synthesized by conventional solid state reaction method.Effect of substitution of compensation valence of Bi
3+ and(Mg
2/3Nb
1/3)
3+ on crystal structure,dielectric and piezoelectric properties of(Bi
1/2Na
1/2)TiO
3 ceramics were investigated.The XRD analysis showed that all compositions can form single perovskite phase.Temperature dependence of dielectric constant εr measurement indicated these compounds were typical relaxor ferroelectric.Addition of small amount of Bi(M
g2/3Nb
1/3)O
3 improves piezoelectric properties and the optimal piezoelectric properties of d
33=94 pC/N and kt=0.46 were obtained at x=0.7 % and x=0.9 %,respectively.The(1-x)(Bi
1/2Na
1/2)TiO
3-xBi(Mg
2/3Nb
1/3)O
3 ceramics have high kt value and low kp value.
