Abstract:
Crystallization kinetics of Sm
8Fe
83Si
2C
5Cu
0.5Nb
1.5 amorphous alloy has been studied by DTA and XRD methods. Results show that the crystalline phases in the temperature range of 0-1000℃ in this alloy are
α-Fe and Sm
2(FeSi)
17C
x The apparent crystallization activation energy of
α-Fe phase and Sm
2(FeSi)
17C
x is 349.53kJ/mol and 316.19kJ/mol respectively. The apparent crystallization aCtivation energy of both
α-Fe and Sm
2(FeSi)
17C
x is the smallest at beginning, and increases with increasing crystallized volume fraction (X
c). When the volume fraction of
α-Fe phase is between 0.2 and 0.6, and the volume fraction of Sm
2(FeSi)
17C
x is between 0.06 and 0.5, their apparent crystallization actiVation energies are the largest.
