Improve the photocatalytic activity of nanometer TiO2 thin film by ions implantation

  • 摘要: 利用直流磁控反应溅射技术在玻璃衬底上制备了透明的纳米TiO2光催化薄膜。利用离子注入技术将Sn离子注入到TiO2表面以提高其光催化活性。用X射线衍射(XRD)、X射线光电子谱(XPS)以及UV-VIS分光光度计对薄膜进行结构与性能表征。Sn离子注入后的薄膜具有更高的光催化活性,这是因为在TiO2和SnO2半导体的复合体系中,电子-空穴对的分离变得更加有效,从而提高了其催化性能。

     

    Abstract: Transparent and colorless nanocrystalline TiO2 thin film photocatalysts were prepared on glass substrates by D.C. magnetron reactive sputtering method. In order to improve the photocatalytic perfor- mance, Sn ions were implanted into the surface of the TiO2 thin films using an advanced metal ion- implantation technique. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and UV-Visible spectrophotometer were used to characterize the films. The enhanced degradation rate of Rhodamine B using TiO2 thin films implanted with Sn ions is attributed to the increased separation of electron-hole pairs in the coupled systems of the two semiconductors of TiO2 and SnO2.
