Abstract:
The effects of the alignment degree of grain easy-axes on the hard magnetic properties of NdFeB sintered magnets have been investigated. The results show that the remanence polarization J
r increases monotonously with an enhancement in the degree of grain alignment (i.e. decrease in the orientation coefficient σ), whereas the intrinsic coercivity
jH
c decreases monotonously. This dependence leads to a non-monotonic behaviour of the magnetic-inductive coercivity
bH
c and a saturation of the maximum magnetic energy prodct (BH)
max.
