烷基硫醇饱和分子结中的电荷输运
Electronic Transport in Saturated Alkanethiol Molecular Junctions

摘要: 利用导电探针原子力显微镜(CP-AFM)构成金属电极/垸基硫醇饱和分子的自组装单分子膜/金属电极的三层结构,研究了该类分子结的电荷输运。利用该结构测量了该分子结的Ⅰ—Ⅴ特性。实验结果表明分子结电导随分子长度的增长指数衰减,并且证实隧穿为饱和分子结中的主要电荷传输机制。同时,实验结果表明该分子结存在明显的整流效应,对该饱和分子结的整流特性进行了理论分析。Abstract: In this paper,charge transportation in molecular junctions were investigated with a sandwich structure which consists of metal film/saturated alkanethiol self-assembled monolayers(SAM)/Au coated conducting-probe atomic force microscopy(CP-AFM)tip.Ⅰ-Ⅴcharacteristics of molecular junctions were measured.The experiment results showed that the molecular conductance decreases exponentially with molecule length,and tunneling was confirmed as the dominant transport mechanism in the saturated molecules.Rectification effect was also observed in this sandwich structure and theoretical analysis for this kind of rectification effect was given as well.
