Preparation and Photoluminescence of ZnO Nano-disk

摘要: 本文提出了一种制备ZnO纳米碟的简单方法-空气气氛条件下,在坩埚中直接蒸发Zn粉,通过控制Zn源的质量和蒸发温度,在硅(100)衬底上获得了直径为微米量级和厚度几百纳米的ZnO碟。XRD谱表明样品为纯相的纤锌矿结构ZnO,扫描电子显微镜(SEM)照片给出了样品的形貌,证明其尺寸与锌蒸发温度密切相关。室温光致发光谱中存在510nm处较强的缺陷发光峰和380nm较弱的激子发光峰。EDS谱表明样品中仅含氧和锌元素,其原子的含量比为46.3:53.7,存在较多的氧空位,进一步证实了荧光光谱的结果。Abstract: In this paper,a simple method for fabricating ZnO nano-disks is given,and ZnO nano-disks with size about several microns and thickness about 400nm are obtained on Si substrates(100) in the atmosphere,with Zn power thermally evaporated directly in the crucible.X-ray diffraction(XRD) reveals the grown samples are hexagonal ZnO crystal.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM) images show that the morphology and size of samples is closely related to the evaporation temperature of zinc.The photoluminescence(PL) spectrum at room temperature of ZnO disks has a strong green peak centered at 510 nm,which is due to the presence of oxygen vacancies in the samples.The energy-dispersive X-ray analysis(EDS) indicates samples are zinc oxide without any impurities,with Zn content higher than O ones,and have more O vacancies.The EDX results are consistent with PL experiments.
