Abstract:
The effects of Ti addition in La
0.67Ba
0.33MnO
3 powder on the magnetic and electric properties and magnetoresistance (MR) were studied systematically. With increasing Ti content, the magnetization and Curie temperature of the materials decrease fast, the resistivity increases rapidly, the resistivity peak shifts to the low temperature gradually. At low temperature, the Ti addition does not influence the low field MR a lot, but the intrinsic MR of the materials increases obviously. 1% Ti addition causes the MR at room temperature to enhance significantly. The MR ratio in 1 T magnetic field at room temperature reaches-8.4%, which increases by 50% compared with the undoped La
0.67Ba
0.33MnO
3 material.
