Abstract:
The ageing effect of the supercondu ctivity of La
0.67 Ca
0.33 MnO
3/YBa
2 Cu
4 O
8/La
0.67 Ca
0.33 MnO
3 films was studied.After 11-month in air,compared with the as-deposited samples,all of the samples get lower superconducting transiti on temperature
TC and all the series show larger critical thickness
dcrY below which the
TC disappear.Accelerated ageing tests of La
0.67 Ca
0.33 MnO
3-coated YBa
2 Cu
4 O
8 films show that thin La
0.67 Ca
0.33 MnO
3 film can efficiently protect the YBa
2 Cu
4 O
8 films from water attack when its thickness
dL > 40nm.
