5/2+M piezoelectric ceramic (abbreviated as PZT-CaFe-M) were synthesized by traditional solid-state reaction method, in which M is Nb, Mg, Al, Ce, Yb. The effects of M on phase structure, dielectric, piezoelectric properties, dielectric loss at high electric field, curie temperature of the ceramics were investigated in detail. The X-ray resulted that PZT-CaFe-M ceramics are a pure perovskite structure without any other second phases, but the cell parameters changed slightly with different elements doped. The piezoelectric constant, grain size, mechanical quality factor and dielectric loss at high electric field of the ceramics changed vary greatly with the doping elements. The piezoelectric ceramics with Mg doped exhibited the favorable electrical properties, which were listed as follows: T
c=323 ℃, ε
r=1075, tanδ=0.21%, tanδ=0.33%@400V/mm, k
p=0.59, d
33=264 pC/N, Q
m=1263.
