Abstract:
Warm compaction and common compaction were applied to prepare bonded NdFeB magnet. Warm compaction was proved to be a good way to improve the density and magnetic performance of bonded magnet, comparing with common compaction. The result of warm compaction is closely related with temperature. And the softening point, the viscosity and the solidifying point of bond decide the optimal temperature, according to the mechanism of warm compaction. The density and maximum energy product ((BH)
m) of bonded NdFeB magnet prepared at 70oC, 97.4MPa pressure are 5.28kg/m
3 and 6.23MGOe respectively.
